Directions to Whispering Wings Ranch at Rockhouse Creek Preserve

The preserve is approximately 3 ½ hours from Little Rock (175 miles). It is 25 minutes southwest of Berryville and 25 minutes southeast of Eureka Springs. High clearance vehicles are recommended.

  • Take US-62 East through Eureka Springs.
  • Turn right (south) onto Rockhouse Road (County Road 302). At the Rockhouse Road intersection is an ECHO Thrift Store.
  • Follow Rockhouse Road for approximately 7 miles.
  • Stay right at the “Y”, to AR-221.
  • Turn right onto AR-221 and continue for 1 mile until the ROAD TURNS INTO GRAVEL AND STONE-C.R. 302.
  • Follow C.R. 302 for approximately 2 miles (After about 0.5 mile, the road splits and rejoins-staying to the right is the shorter route.).
  • There will be a red gate on your right. Notice the information placard for Whispering Wings Ranch!
  • Continue through the gate for 1 mile, to the ranch house. The front door is on the creek side, where the long deck is located.

  • Follow US-62 West. A few hundred yards past AR-21 South, turn left on AR-221 South into a residential neighborhood.
  • Following signs for AR-221 South, turn left onto W. Carl Ave., then another left onto AR-221 South/Huntsville St. Drive 0.5 mile, then turn left to stay on AR-221.
  • Follow AR-221 South for approximately 8 miles to the Kings River. Kings River Outfitters is on the right just, past the Kings River bridge.
  • Continue past Kings River Outfitters, for 2 miles, until the ROAD TURNS INTO GRAVEL AND STONE-C.R. 302.
